FEBRUARY Designer SALE haul -‘Sain Laurent, Isabel Marant, Gucci, Aquazzura, Maje and more
Who doesn’t love sale?? I guess we all do, especially if its designer sale! I know exactly when sale launches and prepare for it several months before – I save my dalla! I also work out a strategic plan : I browse around my favourite designer websites and search for items I’d like to purchase but aren’t necessary willing to pay full price. And this is exactly what I did this time.
Watch the video below to see what items I managed to hunt down on up to -70% regular price:
TIPS AND TRICKS ON HOW TO SHOP DESIGNER SALE
Let’s start from the websites I shop from:
Prior to purchasing a designer item i ALWAYS COMPARE PRICES on all of the above websites. Most time prices vary and variations might equal as much as couple of hundreds €€€. This is due to the fact that the above websites are based in different countries and their currency conversion might be different. They also apply different discount % on their items. Feg one of the shoes I recently purchased was priced €290 on one website and €250 on the other!
USE WISH LIST ! Most of the time wish lists are annoying but when it comes to shopping designer sale they are awesome! I always save my favourite pieces to my wish list and get a notification straight to my inbox. Brilliant!
IT’S NOT GONE UNTIL IT’S GONE. Most of desirable, hot items or popular designers will sell really fast, especially on sale. Most of these websites have NOTIFY WHEN BACK IN STOCK option. You would have thought once it’s sold, it gone! Nope! Most of these websites will have their sale items back in stock within couple of days, still with same sale price tag. This actually happened to me this time. Isabel Marant cut out sweater I wanted was completely sold out at the time I decided to purchase. I used NOTIFY WHEN BACK IN STOCK button and got notification that the item is back in stock in my size few days later. Sweet!
THERES ALWAYS 3 PRICE CUTS. At the very beginning – sale launch most of websites apply -30% or -50% discount, after around 2-3 weeks most stock gets reduced to -70% Yes. The same pair of shoes might cost you couple hundred more if you shop first week of sale. At this point you have to decide how desirable is the item you want to shop. Feg if you really want the bag, there’s probably few more people who want it too. Bags in conic design, classic items, popular shoe and clothing sizes will sell out first. So feg if you’re planning on buying SAINT LAURENT bag get it at sale launch. It will be gone within hours. Shoes, if you’re like me- not so usual shoe size (i’m size 35 eu – uk 2) you can wait until further price cuts.
